India continues to climb, witnessing a 10 spot jump in rank globally for median mobile speeds from 79th last month to 69th in January 2023: Ookla Ookla, the global leader in network intelligence and connectivity insights today released an update on the Speedtest Global Alphabetize for the month of January 2023. According to the global alphabetize report, in the month of January, India witnessed a 10 point jump in median mobile speeds globally from 79 in December to 69 in January 2023, making it an applaudable performance by India on global charts over the past two months. In November, India ranked at 105th position, globally in median mobile speeds, as per Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index. Ookla moreover recorded 29.85 Mbps median mobile download speeds in January this year which is largest than 25.29 Mbps in December 2022.

On median stock-still broadband speeds, India increased by two spots in rank from 81 in December to 79 in January. India’s performance in stock-still median download speeds witnessed a slight increase from 49.14 Mbps in December to 50.02 Mbps in January 2023.

According to the January Speedtest Global Index, UAE leads the orchestration for overall global median mobile speeds, whereas Papua New Guinea increased 24 spots in rank globally. For stock-still broadband download speeds, Singapore is resulting at #1 spot this month as well and Cyprus increased 20 spots in rank globally.

Ookla’s Speedtest Global Alphabetize ranks mobile and stock-still broadband speeds from virtually the world monthly. Data for the Global Alphabetize comes from the hundreds of millions of tests taken by real people using Speedtest every month to test their Internet performance.
